In an artistic sense, fashion is like music. You have your loud fortissimo moments, soft pianissimo moments, legato or slow long moments. This is translated into the overall theme which creates harmony. Same with fashion when creating a collection. You have your loud stand out moments and your quiet conservative moments. Music is emotional, similar to how fashion makes us feel.
My design philosophy, “Instilled Nostalgia” is about the longing for things that are old. Memory is gradually instilled into objects, giving it beauty beyond what we physically see. Beauty should resonate from within giving life and spirit to the things we cherish most.
